Java Backend Developer - Trading Systems
The eBond Development Team is organized in several cells spread across London, Frankfurt and Prague. Cells are functional groups with a Product Owner, Developers, Business Analysts and App Support. Each cell has a specific functional focus (Pricing, Booking, Quoting, Algo,...) and manages its own backlog.
We seek a Developer with necessary technical and interpersonal skills to quickly get up to speed, both in terms of work environment and business functionality; to tackle issues and requirements with a high degree of autonomy, but align and ask for help when required.
You will be responsible for:
- Develop new capabilities and re-architect parts of an existing system.
- Take part in test-driven, iterative development, prototyping, and reviews with a team of developers.
- Implementing new and adapting current trading workflows.
- Adapting platform to actual market situation.
- Design and code middle and back-end in a clean and efficient way.
- Implement scalable and robust services.
- Develop and run unit and performance tests to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Review and debug code.
- Develops documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clean code to explain and show solutions.
- Determines and designs system specifications, standards, and programming to prepare and install solutions.
Main skills:
- 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering

Senior Java OR Fullstack Developer KYC
You will participate in software design, development, and all technical aspects of a projects life-cycle in agile environment.
Our client has several teams working in the area of customer lifecycle management for corporate and investment banking clients. The work spans onboarding procedures, anti-money-laundering workflows and implementations of market and tax regulations. The solutions are frequently integrated with other systems of the bank e.g. trade capture, management reporting or CRM.
You will be responsible for:
- Software development in SCRUM teams.
- Participating in full life cycle of software development within a team.
- Full transparency regards to the development status, risks and impediments.
Main skills:
- Java (8+), Spring Framework, SQL, REST.
- Profound experience in software design & development (5+ years).
- Professional curiosity;

Nice to have knowledge:
- Apache Kafka, Apache Hive, Openshift/Kubernetes, Docker, RDBMS - or any equivalent technology/stack.

Quant Developer - Counterparty Risk
This position is focused on development of ultra-critical systems, their stability and responsiveness close to real-time. Specifically, to enhance and develop an internal Monte Carlo Simulation-based system that calculates medium and long-term exposure forecasts.
Counterparty Risk Department provides efficient risk management for Counterparty Risk from Derivatives and Financing business. A team of 14 people is about to get bigger (up to 20 members) and will participate on applications used by entire bank.
You will be responsible for:
- Work on the development of internal model for counterparty risk, using HESTEN - an in-house developed system based on a Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) and Heston model, calculating medium and long-term exposure forecasts.
- Coordinate business requirements, solution alternatives, stochastic/pricing models, and methodology in cooperation with the Product Owner.
- Propose an appropriate technical architecture and discuss the design within the team.
- Carry out analysis and prototyping including test calculations.
- Implement new functionalities, models, and processes.
- Create a comprising technical documentation.
- Oversee the tests and the rollout into the production environment.
- Support the operations team as part of a 3rd-level support (BizDevOps) function.
Main skills:
- Expert knowledge of current IT architectures, design patterns, and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of Java 8+: software engineering, OOAD, testing, design patterns and frameworks/tools/OS etc. (Spring Boot/Integration/Data, Hibernate, MQs (ActiveMQ), JSF (PrimeFaces), SQL DBs, JUnit, Jenkins, GIT (Bitbucket), Intellij, Elastic, LINUX/UNIX Scripting).
- Knowledge of cloud computing: Google Cloud, Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, Prometheus, domain-driven design.
- Strong knowledge of quantitative finance, investment banking products (derivatives, pricing, financial modeling) and risk processes (credit and/or market risk), regulatory requirements (CRR/CRD IV) where applicable.
