Otabek - The Road to Success in the Czech Labour Market
Nowadays, it is becoming more and more common for people to look for new opportunities and move to the job market abroad. Otabek, a young and ambitious professional, decided to make such a change, and to the Czech labor market. What was his story? How did he manage to achieve success in a foreign country? How was it moving to Prague from your country?
Moving to a completely new continent for the first time in my life seemed challenging before my arrival, but with the help and support of the relocation company, I experienced no difficulty at all. They provided a number of services to make my journey easy, especially with the preparation of relocation documents and the cost covered.
What were the biggest challenges you faced when moving to Prague?
If I were to move without any support, there would definitely be a number of challenges, the biggest one being preparing documents before and after coming to the Czech Republic. It is a complex process, and it can be difficult to navigate without the help of an expert.
How is learning Czech?
Interviewee: It is very challenging, but I am planning to start Czech courses soon. Since I know English, I did not encounter a language barrier much. I know some basic Czech phrases like "Ahoj" for "hi" and "Dobriy den" for "greeting." I also know how to count because Czech numbers are similar to Russian numbers.
What are your positive and negative experiences of living in Prague so far?
I have had a lot of positive experiences in Prague. The city is beautiful, the work-life balance is great, and there are many opportunities to travel without extra visas or documents. The weather is also awesome. I have not had any negative experiences so far.
What advice would you give to others who are planning to relocate to Prague?
My only tip is to be prepared for amazing adventures! Prague is a wonderful city to live in, and there is so much to see and do.
