Interview with Aziko, from hometown to Prague for success
We bring you a useful interview with a man named Aziko, who recently moved to Prague, to find out how difficult the whole process of moving was and how the adaptation to the new environment went. Aziko tells us about his experiences with work, language challenges and what he likes about the new place.
How difficult is moving and subsequent acclimatization in a new environment?
Everything was super easy as the company members helped me in all steps of moving and getting used to the new environment. The assistance ranged from finding suitable accommodations to providing local insights about the neighborhood, making the transition seamless.

How satisfied are you with your new job after moving?
I am very happy to have this job here in Prague because everything is professionally organized here. The company's commitment to creating a supportive work environment and fostering growth has exceeded my expectations, making me genuinely content with my decision to relocate.

Were there any problems/challenges and how were they solved?
There were not any challenges as the company staff organized anything for moving and starting the job. Any potential hurdles were expertly handled by the company's relocation team, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring a smooth relocation experience for their employees.

How is it to move to a new country all alone?
First of all, it was quite boring to move alone and as time went on, everything turned out to be good as I found new friends here in Prague. While the initial period of moving alone felt isolating, the vibrant social scene in Prague provided ample opportunities to meet people and establish meaningful connections, gradually turning the experience into an exciting adventure.

How challenging is it to understand/speak the Czech language?
It might be challenging to understand and speak the new language at first but the company helps to learn the Czech language. The Czech language, with its unique grammar and pronunciation, can pose initial challenges. However, the company's language support programs, including classes and resources, have significantly aided my language learning journey, making communication with locals more engaging.

Have you learned anything in the Czech language already?
Yes, I learned some basic words used in daily life. I've managed to grasp a handful of essential Czech phrases, which has not only facilitated my daily interactions but has also garnered positive reactions from locals, showcasing my willingness to engage with their culture.

Was the VISA process challenging?
In my case, I did not experience any difficulties when trying to obtain the visa, which is because of the professional work of the relocation specialists of the company. The comprehensive support provided by the company's relocation specialists made the visa application process straightforward, ensuring that all necessary documents were prepared and submitted accurately.

Do you have any positive/negative experiences so far?
I only have positive experiences here in Prague. For example, the air of the city is very clean and the weather is not so hot here, which means we can have enjoyable weekends with friends outside for most of the year. Additionally, the city's abundant social events allow us to immerse ourselves in the local culture, providing ample opportunities to forge new friendships and broaden our horizons.

As for the last question, do you have any tips for other people who are thinking about relocation?
As far as I can see, most of the time the weather here is colder. So, I would give a tip for bringing hotter clothes. Beyond that, I would recommend future relocators to embrace the opportunity to learn about the local culture, engage with the community, and be open to new experiences, as these factors contribute to a more enriching and fulfilling relocation journey.
